Palmerston Campus Careers Expo

Our Palmerston Junior campus students recently enjoyed an exciting and inspiring Careers Expo, proudly planned by our Junior School Captains Madeleine and Elena, along with staff and Year 5 students. This wonderful student-led initiative was designed to open young minds to the wide range of opportunities their future may hold.

The event saw an amazing turnout from our school community and an incredible group of guests who generously gave their time to inspire and educate. Students had the opportunity to meet and speak with professionals from a variety of fields including medicine, law, science, hairdressing, construction, public safety, wildlife conservation, sport, and more.

Among those who joined us were a doctor, nurse, lawyer, plumber, pilot, molecular scientist, representatives from Master Builders Northern Territory, a ranger from Territory Wildlife Park with some scaly and furry friends, local firefighters, Navy personnel, Mounted Police with their horses, and the Australian Federal Police Canine Division with their Labradors. We also welcomed representatives from Touch Football Northern Territory and many others who contributed to making the day so special.

We are incredibly grateful to all our presenters and visitors who shared their time, experience, and passion with our students. Their involvement helped create an inspiring and memorable day for everyone.

A huge thank you also goes to our Junior School Captains Madeleine and Elena, whose leadership and initiative brought this idea to life, and to our Year 5 students and staff for their support in planning the event.

The Careers Expo was a wonderful celebration of learning, community, and the bright futures ahead for our students.
